AMVI/Prospect Health Network was organized in 1999 to bring together two distinct medical groups in Orange County. In partnership with CalOptima, AVMI/Prospect has been able to provide a network of physicians that meet the needs of low-income families with multi-cultural backgrounds and provides access to Vietnamese, Spanish as well as English speaking physicians and staff.

We have since expanded our network to meet the special of the Medicare population and those patients who have chosen to obtain their health and medical insurance through the CalOptima OneCare HMO. In selecting AVMI/Prospect as your health network, you join a growing number of families and individuals who benefit from our leadership and experience in the field. Here's why:

• We have assembled a large number of primary care physicians to provide you with extensive choices in the selection of your own personal physician.
• Our primary care physicians are supported by an excellent team of specialty physicians who are either board certified or board eligible, providing you with a comprehensive healthcare network that is fully committed to your individual needs.
• We have created a specialized Direct Referral program which allows the Primary Care Physician, in many instances, to refer you directly to a highly qualified specialist instead of waiting for prior authorization. This allows our doctors the independence of caring for your needs without the red tape often experienced under HMO programs.
• Our affiliated hospitals are some of the most respected in the community and are all accredited by the Joint Commission on Hospital Accreditation.
• We require our physicians continuously maintain the guidelines established by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA), and the Department of Health Services (DHS).

All of this, combined with a knowledgeable support staff that prides themselves on the highest quality and productivity, with emphasis on utilizing technology to expedite necessary processes for the benefit of members and the providers who care for them.
